Meet Ryan from Better Your Best Marketing

We sat down with the owner of Better Your Best Marketing to learn how they use Volley to speed up their web review process.

Ryan, thanks for taking the time to chat with us, to start, tell us a little bit about your company.

The name of my company is Better Your Best Marketing. We help coaches, consultants and authors with all of their marketing needs. Everything from their initial online presence to building out their marketing funnels and then driving traffic to whatever their offer is.

How long have you been in business?

Since 2018.

You no-doubt have some time in the game and an established client base. What did your visual feedback process look like before you started using Volley?

Before volley, getting feedback from clients was not fun at all, it was an arduous process. Basically, we would work on their sites. And then we would require them to send us screenshots and put those in a Google Doc, etc. and then we would go back-and-forth on numerous versions of the Google Doc with screenshots, which as you know, after time can get a bit convoluted. So it was not a “ clean” process.

Yeah we also used to use Google docs, and they can get really hard to maintain. As they grow in size, you get more revisions and projects get more complicated.


So, what made you decide to use Volley?

After I found Volley and read about what the product does, I was like, okay, if this does what it says it does, this is gonna be a game changer for us. So I started using it internally to give my team feedback on some work that they were doing. Honestly, what typically took me over 30 minutes to put together feedback literally took me less than 5 minutes with Volley. It’s just clicking on any item on the site and typing in comments. No more having to capture screenshots and then save the screen or anything. Game changing.

Sounds like Volley was a perfect fit at the right time for you. So, you said you started off using Volley internally, how has your use of Volley evolved?

One of the awesome uses that I didn't know when I initially signed up for Volley… we create lead magnets for our clients, and so we'd create the first draft of these lead magnets inside Google docs, or, you know, software like that. But now, because Volley works on anything inside of a browser window, we're actually able to make comments on things right inside of the email when they send them to us! So instead of a lot of back-and-forth with the lead magnets and the copy, etc. we're able to do that in one place.

We agree, the biggest benefit of Volley is saving tons of time. Are there any other benefits or direct results that you’ve seen as you use Volley?

Just from an ease of use and flexibility perspective, being able to get feedback, both internally AND externally. I think that that's one of the biggest things.

People tend to shy away from things that are overly complicated. That's where Volley has really hit the nail on the head. It’s just so simple and easy to use. I seriously can't say enough good things about it.

That's all we’ve ever hoped for with Volley. Like a Swiss Army Knife, it has all these handy little uses, always in your back pocket, ready when you need it, but never in the way…

I'll say one more thing. The support for the software, is phenomenal. I mean, the fact that when I was having an issue with the Chrome extension, I get a message from the founder of the company reaching out to make sure that things are okay. You don't see that with every company. That just shows it’s top notch.

Well thank you. We’ve worked hard to make Volley a reflection of my co-founder and me. We’re real positive guys and we want to pass that “delight” on to anybody that's using our software. It's really heartwarming to hear that you’ve experienced the Intended perception of Volley.

So how has the reception of Volley been from your team and your customers?

The response overall has been great! I keep going back to this whole time saving situation. I mean, literally, our old way of giving feedback on websites, I did not look forward to that process. I didn't look forward to making all of these screenshots and creating Google Docs, and then following up. I have a graveyard of Google Docs that have screenshots on them. So for my team, and for clients, it has made it so much easier to streamline that process.

Last question, what would you like to tell others about Volley?

Well, I would, I would say that if you value your time, and if you are in a business in which visual feedback is important, and you want to be able to easily articulate changes from one revision to the next, then Volley is by far the simplest and best tool that I have found.
